Matt Carwardine-Palmer is a business and marketing consultant with more than 25 years’ experience working in the arts, heritage, and cultural sectors.
Matt works on complex business planning and writing business cases, often in line with HM Treasury ‘Better Business Cases’ / Green Book frameworks. He also writes marketing & communications strategies, undertakes marketing audits for organisations and project-manages marketing projects.

About

Matt holds a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Arts Management and has achieved Better Business Cases Practitioner accreditation with APMG International.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Chartered Marketer) and is a member of the CIM Wales Committee.
Current work

Matt is working on the business plan for the Llwyd Mansion ‘Framing the Future’ project and on a business case for a relocation project for Theatr Bara Caws.
He is working with The Funding Centre on projects for Tŷ Pawb in Wrexham and the Royal Hall in Bognor Regis.
Work history

Matt spent 10 years as a marketing freelancer and consultant before joining Welsh National Opera as Director of Marketing & Sales from 2016-21.
He has previously held roles at Bristol Old Vic, Wycombe Swan | HST Theatres and Arts Marketing Hampshire.
